  HAVING A MARY HEART IN A MARTHA WORLD By Joanna Weaver   I buy a lot of second hand books to feed my reading addiction. Last night I opened this one Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver. Yes it cost just £1 and there is an inscription and date from someone on the first page so obviously it was a gift. As I read the first 30 pages I realised that whoever received this book started to read and highlight various words and paragraphs. But then it stops. I am left wondering - did the person stop at this point and decide not to read anymore? Usually when I start a book I wait until I read 50 pages to give a fair assessment, others read a chapter. How do you determine if a book is for you? I chose this book because it was based around a biblical story - the visit by Jesus to the home of 2 sisters and a brother, Mary, Martha and Lazarus. One sister is busy preparing everything while the other sits at Jesus' feet listening to his teaching. Which sister did...
